This conference will bring together leading and emerging scholars in the fields of religious studies and literary studies to examine the interconnectedness of literature and religion in American history, connections and disconnections between the two disciplines, and the future place of religious and literary studies in the humanities. Both days are free and open to the public.  Featured speakers include Tracy Fessenden, Arizona State University; W. Clark Gilpin, University of Chicago; and Michael Warner, Yale University.
