The visitors committee is seeking applications for the 2014-2015 Visitors Series.
Deadline: Friday, March 21, 2014
The School of Art + Design Visitors Series fund is designed to give students access to a more immediate network of artists, designers and scholars more closely affiliated with the region or personally/professionally connected to the faculty and staff. A Visitors Series guest is expected to give either a public lecture, a workshop, classroom visit, series of studio visits, a panel discussion, a performance, or any combination of the above. Proposals for visitors who appeal to more than one program or that are part of joint programming between the School of Art + Design and other University units or institutions in the immediate area (Chicago, Bloomington-Normal, St. Louis, Indianapolis, etc.) will receive priority.
Funding for this format is typically up to $1,000, which should be applied towards honorarium, transportation, food and lodging expenses. The series typically includes 8-10 guests per year.
Guidelines for this series follows.
The committee requests that all nominations are submitted electronically to Audra Weinstein by Friday, March 21, 2014 for the Fall 2014-Spring 2014 series. Remember these funds are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
