Graduate College Funding and Financial Literacy

The SSRC-JSPS ellowship supports 1-12 months of doctoral and postdoctoral research in Japan under the mentorship of a host researcher. Applications are welcome from all social sciences and humanities disciplines; topics need not be explicitly related to the study of Japan. Elsa Ransom of the Social Science Research Council will offer information about the program, and Dr. Robert Tierney, Professor of Japanese Literature in the Department of East Asian Language and Cultures, will speak about his own experience as a JSPS recipient.
