As oil and water become increasingly endangered and contested resources, issues of local rights, global power, and environmental justice will be key to averting significant environmental, economic, and political crises throughout the world. Nowhere are the conflicts over natural resources more fraught than in the Middle East. This program will explore how crises in key resources like oil and water have shaped local, national and international identities and policies.
