This presentation will discuss why patents are relevant to ECE graduates, regardless of whether they ultimately choose a career in technology, business, medicine, law or any industry in between.
Sharon Hwang is a partner at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd., where she practices in all areas of intellectual property law with a particular emphasis on patent litigation and intellectual property counseling. Sharon has extensive experience in federal trial and appellate courts involving patent, trademark, and antitrust claims. She also advises clients on the acquisition and development of intellectual property portfolios. Sharon received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois in 1989, and her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1993.
