Please join James Hodson from Bloomberg on Wednesday, February 13 at 5:00pm in 151 Everitt Lab as he presents "Making News Useful."
Abstract: A look at the relationship between news and financial markets. Using natural language processing and machine learning to add value to our analysis.
Bio: Since 2010, James Hodson has been a researcher and project manager in Bloomberg's Machine Learning R&D group in New York City. His main research activities involve machine translation, sentiment analysis, and the propagation of information in financial markets.
