The Savvy Researcher workshop series offers hands-on sessions during the fall and spring semesters. During the breaks, please refer to our corresponding Savvy Researcher LibGuides for asynchronous assistance. Alternatively, you may fill out a consultation request or visit the Scholarly Commons during our open hours.
NEW - Submit a request for a Savvy Researcher title to be taught at your upcoming research group or faculty meeting. Please fill out a request form: https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/6094473.
(Note: Not all workshops are available for instruction and sessions are limited to five participants or more.)
You're going to be published - congratulations! Did you know that you own the copyright on your work until you transfer copyright to a publisher? Did you know you need to retain rights in order to include an article or reuse a chart in your dissertation or thesis or make your work openly available on the web? Come to this session and learn about what your rights as an author are and how to negotiate with publishers for the rights that you need to retain.
