Learn how to use EndNote, a citation management software program, to keep track and organize citations and cite while you write your papers.  Heavily used by researchers across campus, EndNote is available for Macs and PCs and can be purchased from the U of I Webstore  http://webstore.illinois.edu/home/ for $55.  We often hear graduate students say that they wish they had implemented a citation management strategy at the beginning of their academic careers - don't let this happen to you!

You will learn how to:

• Customize EndNote to maximize its usefulness in the U of Illinois research environment
• Create your own searchable library/ies of literature citations for easy reference and with links to the full text
• Manage the PDFs on your computer, by indexing them within EndNote
• Use EndNote to easily format citations within and at the end of your manuscripts to conform with the style required by a journal
