This introductory workshop is aimed at people or groups who'd like to self-publish their research using the open exhibit software Omeka.  Specifically, this is for people who want to publish with more control than what's offered via Omeka.net's free service. Attendees will learn to install the development environment on their own laptop necessary to run Omeka and extend its capacity for particular research needs. We will also discuss issues related to real-world web hosting services and resources for further customization. *Please bring a laptop on which you have the permission to install software.
