An introduction to GIS tools will allow participants to create thematic maps in ArcGIS using data produced by government and inter-governmental agencies. Computers and software will be provided to allow workshop participants to follow along and practice. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to map information of their own choosing using publicly available data resources. The session includes practice creating maps, finding data and shape files and making presentation layouts.
