U of I WebStore is offering a Build Your Own Embedded System (BYOS) hands-on workshop focuses on extending your NI LabVIEW skills into FPGA-based embedded design using NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware. In this 8-hour workshop, learn how to use the LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA modules to configure, program, and deploy your first LabVIEW RIO based embedded system. Students will also create an Electrical Vehicle Battery Management System.
Requirements:
All attendees must have a Windows OS computer (with LabVIEW installed), will need Internet access. This course is open to Graduate/Professional and Research students familiar with LabVIEW. Students MUST have completed the LabVIEW Core 1 & 2 courses or attended the LabView Bootcamp held in May to participate in this workshop.

The 2012 Build Your Own Embedded System workshop provides:
' Technology and platform introduction with a qualified instructor to ensure the attendees success with the platform and material.
' Introduction to LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time using NI RIO hardware. SbRIO-9636 evaluation board will be sent after the seminar.
All sessions will be conducted by National Instruments certified instructor Ben Niemeier
