Originating Calendar WebStore Training

U of I WebStore is offering a hands-on, instructor-led workshop in conjunction with National Instruments and willl display how users can integrate control in LabVIEW with the Control Design and Simulation Toolkit that will be connected to a servo motor plant. Students participating in this class will gain an understanding of NI CompactDAQ data acquisition, how it can be used, and how to program devices with our NI-DAQmx driver in LabVIEW.

Topics/Exercises will include:

  • An introduction to National Instruments data acquisition hardware.
  • Set up a CompactDAQ hardware system
  • Exercises in acquiring a signal from a sensor, analyzing that data for processing, and driving an output based on the modified signal.

Prerequisites: This course is open to Graduate/Professional and Research level students and faculty familiar with LabVIEW and the concepts taught in the training courses of LabVIEW Core 1 & 2 (equivalent to the bootcamp held in May).  Students must provide their own laptops with  LabVIEW already installed. An internet connection is required to use Labview.

Classroom size is limited, so please be aware that there will be no refunds after your purchase is complete. Enrollment closes August 17, 2012.
