In addition to Strauss' landmark Ein Heldenleben, the orchestra presents Xia Guan's Earth Requiem, composed in remembrance of the devastating 2008 Sichuan earthquake, and Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D Minor with prodigy Chuanyun Li, who was featured in Chen Kaige's 2003 movie Together.
