The Center for Global Studies, International and Area Studies Library, and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the Univesity of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will host an International Studies Research Lab (ISRL) this summer for community college faculty interested in expanding global studies curricular and library offerings at their home institutions. This summer research opportunity is open to all community college instructors and administrators who wish to spend time on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus during the designated workshop dates to update and create curricular materials. Community college librarians interested in creating curricular support materials and bibliographies are also encouraged to apply.
Participants have the opportunity to access the world-class International and Area Studies library resources and to work one-on-one with international reference specialists during their time on the Illinois campus. The Lab will run from July 16 – July 29, 2017. Participants may spend any amount of time during these dates on campus. Housing and parking will be available as is the possibility of a $1,000 honorarium for participants.
