Japan House events

We will have a visiting artist from Japan this spring. Hisako Tsutsui will demonstrate Mizuhiki, the ancient Japanese art form using cord made of rice paper to create intricate and beautiful traditional decorations. She will give her demonstration at 11 am and 2 pm. Garden tours will be at 1:00 and 3:00 pm with Jim Bier, the designer, donor and caretaker of our gardens. All of this is free to the public. Tea ceremonies are free if you are a Tomonokai member (Japan House member). If you are not a member, they are at a special reduced rate of $5 for this day. Please join us!
