Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It's just like the Christmas Day of west countries. Chinese New Year is the time for family reunion, but not many of our Chinese students at UIS have their families here. Therefore, we want to get all Chinese students/faculties together to celebrate it and we're also glad to have people of other nations at UIS to join us.
