The XIX International Conference on Computational Methods in Water Resources (CMWR 2012) will be held from June 17 – 21, 2012 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois, USA. CMWR2012 continues the 36-year tradition of the previous 18 biennial conferences held in North America and Europe.

The conference will be a forum for the dissemination of the latest ideas in the development and application of advanced computational techniques to problems in water resources and related fields, including surface and subsurface hydrology, environmental hydrodynamics, ecohydrology, contaminant remediation, carbon sequestration, climate change, and nuclear waste storage. The inexorable increase in raw computational power, software developments, availability of on-line hydrologic data, and recent advances in cyber-infrastructure make this a particularly exciting time for computational applications to water resources and geoscience challenges.

The organizers welcome submissions that either directly involves such computations for water resources problems or that present concepts relevant to such computations. CMWR 2012 will involve four days of regular and special sessions organized to address recurring, emerging, and crosscutting themes in the broad areas of computations and water resources. Several keynote speakers will highlight the sessions.
