The Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament will be held at the University of Illinois at Urbana on April 14, 2012. Science Olympiad offers students the opportunity to compete in 46 separate Science Olympiad events. Participants include middle school and high school students who engage in after school programs and compete in regional and statewide science competitions involving hands-on experiences in all of the STEM disciplines. Come visit the Urbana campus and enjoy the wonder of middle and high school students in love with science! Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. so come out and cheer the next generation of scientists, engineers and technicians. There will be an awards ceremony at 5:00 p.m. to congratulate the statewide winners of 46 separate Science Olympiad events. Prepare to be inspired!
