Tuesday, May 1, 2012, is Bike-To-Work Day in Champaign-Urbana. The University is supporting this event with bike stations across the campus, providing refreshments, prizes, and information to people who cycle to work that day. What if you are new to cycling or are a little intimidated about commuting via bike? Have no fear ' Cycling Savvy is here! In three short hours, you will learn to command your bike with precision and confidence. This course teaches simple strategies to eliminate obstacles and ride with ease and confidence in places you might never have thought possible. You'll learn about bicycle-specific laws, traffic dynamics and problem-solving strategies. In addition, you will learn about their right to share the road and how to control their space.
