The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are U.S. Government programs coordinated by the Small Business Administration (SBA) in which funds are set aside from extramural research budgets for contracts to small businesses. The goals of the SBIR and STTR programs are to stimulate technological innovation, increase private sector commercialization of federal R&D, increase small business participation in federally funded R&D and foster participation by minority and disadvantaged firms in technological innovation. Delcross Technologies has been awarded several Ph I, II, II.5 and III contracts since the company was founded in 2006 and they have capitalized on the benefits of the SBIR program by commercializing engineering software tools that are now sold internationally. Mr. Matt Miller will present material on the SBIR and STTR programs and describe the impact of these programs on Delcross Technologies.
