The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. We assist faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction. In addition to the events listed below, we are always available for individual consultations or special activities within a department or college. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create, manage, and grade a variety of discussion forums within the Illinois Compass 2g environment. The workshop facilitator will also provide examples of best practices drawn from research on discussion-based activities in online and face-to-face settings.
