Your course syllabus is not just a document you hand out to students on the first day of class. Your syllabus is the backbone of your entire course '' it is how students know what is expected of them, what they can expect of you, and what it takes to succeed in the course. Your syllabus can also serve as your first impression to your students. So, you''ll want to put it together very well. Come to this workshop and learn the essentials of syllabus construction: learning objectives, learning activities, course policies, and more. Bring a draft of your syllabus, or at least an idea for a course you would like to teach.
