Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (new)

More and more institutions are asking for a teaching philosophy statement in their applications. This statement should reflect you and your teaching. In addition to helping define you in your job search, the philosophy statement is the cornerstone of your teaching portfolio.

Most of you have contemplated developing a teaching philosophy statement, but might not know where to begin or how to start. This workshop will guide you through the necessary steps to arrive at a statement that truly reflects your thoughts on teaching. With the help of some interactive activities, you will begin crafting your own teaching philosophy statement.

Those who are not getting ready for the job market, but are interested in reflecting on their teaching may also find this workshop of interest.
