Citizen Scholar Workshop Series:

Using Service-Learning to Teach Professional Skills.

Participate in one or more workshops if you're interested in service-learning, or complete the entire series to fulfill the "Exploration of Pedagogy" component of CTE's Citizen Scholar Certificate.

The importance of professional skills as an essential learning outcome for college students has gained prominence in higher education and in accreditation criteria in a variety of disciplines. This workshop will cover methods of using service-learning and international service-learning to teach professional skills such as communication, teamwork, understanding ethics and professionalism, professional practice within a global and societal context, lifelong learning, and knowledge of contemporary issues.
