Starting with a brief orientation to Dreamweaver, web basics, and the elements of good web design, we'll then define your own web site structure ("local site folder"), creating web page documents, and adding images, text content (including importing Word documents), and a variety of links. Dreamweaver's built-in page layout options will ensure that your pages are "standards compliant," making full use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) formatting and layout capabilities. You'll learn how to effectively use and use CSS to format tables for presentation of tabular data (and not for page layout!), as well as customizing your own CSS styles. Using Dreamweaver's "page template" and "library item" functions will help maintain a consistent look across your web pages. After working with these and many more easily mastered tools and techniques, we'll end by validating various aspects of your web site, and then "uploading" (publishing) your site to a "web server."
