Before coming to Illinois in 1991, Elliot Chasanov was the principal trombonist with the US Air Force Band and Orchestra and a professor of trombone and euphonium at Kent State University. He has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Ballet, and the Metropolitan Brass Quintet. Currently, he is a member of the Illinois Brass Quintet and serves as a substitute in the Milwaukee Symphony.
