Please join an anticipated 1,000 Social Workers and Social Work students from across the state of Illinois to attend Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 4th in Springfield, IL! The day will encompass a half day of educational seminars on lobbying in Illinois followed by advocating at the Capitol. The cost of attending the event is $12 if you register prior to March 1st. After March 1st, the cost goes up to $15.

The School of Social Work will be arranging for transportation for students to Springfield and back on Advocacy Day. If you would like to ride the bus, you must also RSVP at https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/3272536 by Friday, March 17th at 5pm. You are also welcome to arrange for your own transportation if you prefer.
Prior to Advocacy Day a representative from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Illinois Chapter will speak to us about NASW, what to expect on Advocacy Day and why Advocacy Day is important. I will send out details about this event once they are confirmed.
