Startup Café is an entrepreneur speaking series that shares experiences and wisdom of successful technology entrepreneurs that have a local connection with people working in the Research Park and community.
The featured speaker will be Dr. E. Clif Burdette, President of Acoustic MedSystems in Champaign, IL speaking about his work “From Bench to Bedside: Systems and Devices”. He is an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University and Chairman of the Provena Covenant Foundation Board of Directors. Clif and his team have successful worked on 7 commercialized complex medical systems from concept through regulatory approval and commercialization for clinical use. He is now developing products for planning, guidance and monitoring of therapeutic devices for interventional therapies for focal treatment of early stage prostate cancer, prostate BPH, bone tumors, fibroids, and liver cancer.
Food: Free lunch will be served to all participants. This event is open to all Research Park employees and community entrepreneurs.
