DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to using the A
 baqus software. Abaqus is a general purpose finite element analysis pack
 age that can be used to simulate the response of structures and solid bo
 dies to loads\, impacts and thermal stress. It can also be used to visua
 lize the results of these simulations.Laptop computers will be provided 
 for use by workshop attendees. If you bring your own laptop\, it must ha
 ve either Linux OS\, or Windows OS with Exceed 3D installed in order to 
 remotely access Abaqus GUIs from NCSA machines.
