 mbines meaningful community service with academic instruction. Through s
 tructured reflection\, students connect their service experiences to cou
 rse concepts and develop a deeper appreciation of a discipline. Service-
 learning can foster integrative learning\, critical and reflective think
 ing\, personal development\, and a sense of civic responsibility in stud
 ents. This workshop will focus on designing effective and creative refle
 ction strategies to promote learning. Ideas for reflective activities an
 d assignments\, including a variety of service-learning journal formats
