Uptake Technologies is a relatively new Chicago-based technology company tackling the world's hardest problems in the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). Uptake is co-founded by Brad Keywell.
Andrew Wenum is a user centered designer, creative technologist and entrepreneur. Andrew earned his undergraduate in MIS from Ohio University, Innovation Certificate from University of Pecs, and MA in New Media & Digital Studies from DePaul University. Andrew has worked across multiple industries on projects with Caterpillar, Firestone, ESPN, DePaul Athletics, and Corona Light - along with consulting for numerous tech startups and boutique brands. In 2012, he founded Grp21, a digital design consultancy, Illuzion Records, an electronic music label, and DESIGNATION, the world's first immersive digital design accelerator in Chicago. At Uptake he leads Uptake X, focusing on design and innovation for the Industrial Internet of Things.
Brad Nicholas, is the Lead IoT Architect at Uptake. Brad is responsible for on-asset computing platforms and distributed computing solutions at Uptake, a Chicago-based Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) startup. He has 4 patents awarded or pending and brings extensive engineering, product and general management experience at multiple startups and larger companies across several industries including automotive, consulting, internet applications and telecommunications. Brad holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
