Dr. Qun Chen is CEO of the Corporate Research Center of Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare and a professor of the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from Fudan University with a B.S. and the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) with an M.S. After serving two years at CIAE as a junior scientist, he went to the United States for further education. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Kentucky and continued his academic career in the field of medical imaging as a postdoctoral fellow there. Then he served on the faculty of: the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School, Northwestern University, and New York University. In January 2011, he joined a group of entrepreneurs to found Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare and has been with the company since.
