McLay, LCSW, Assistant Director of the Women's Resources Center In the speaker's words: ""I will be testing out some recent connections I have been pulling together about the ways in which the writing of (very specifically) poetry has facilitated my healing from sexual coercion and violence."
Dancing Mindfulness uses the art form of dance as the primary medium of discovering mindful awareness. Participants will realize the rhythmic qualities of their breathing and heartbeats, to discover the healing, lyrical properties in even the most simple movements.
Hot Topics Dialogues is a series hosted by the Women's Resources Center and the YWCA on campus on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Hot Topics seeks to provide a space for dialogue on gender, other social identities, and social justice. Hot Topics Dialogues is always free and open to the public; bring your friends! Refreshments will be provided.

A facilitated panel discussion about resources and reporting options regarding sexual violence, this event focuses on confidential counseling and advocacy resources on campus and in the community, featuring speakers from R.A.C.E.S., the Women's Resources Center, and more. Facilitated by students in the Advanced CARE sexual violence prevention course. Lunch will be provided
In this workshop, presented by Danny Mathews, Assistant Director of the LGBT Resource Center, we'll explore the broad spectrum of sexualities, offering a safe and supportive space to ask questions and seek information.

The Annual Feminist Film Festival is a grassroots event that uses art and alternative media to bring social issues to the fore. The goal of the festival is to showcase independent film spanning documentary, narrative, and experimental genres in order to explore perspectives often missing from mainstream media and culture.
