Keynote Speaker: Abbie Goldberg, PhD, Clark University

This year, we are excited to invite Dr. Abbie Goldberg from Clark University to present the keynote address. Dr. Goldberg’s work looks at the relationships and well-being in diverse families, including lesbian and gay parents. She is currently exploring the transition to adoptive parenthood among diverse couples. Dr. Goldberg has also published articles related to LGBT individuals’ change in parental status as well as their reactions to their changing legal context (see Goldberg, Moyer, Weber, & Shapiro, 2013). We look forward to hearing her perspective on what it is like for LGBT people to live and experience this time of rapid legal and social change, as well as what this means for researchers and practitioners working with this population.
