    Windows 10 is Microsoft's new operating system -- a compromise between the familiar Windows 7 and the touchscreen features of Windows 8. In this 2-hour workshop, we will learn how to use the updated Start menu; understand notifications and the Action Center; use Window’s digital assistant, Cortana; become familiar with Edge (Windows new web browser) & use multiple desktops

    Supervisors will learn how to effectively utilize university employment systems to select and hire staff in the civil service employment category. An overview of the job classification systems and salary considerations will be offered. The seminar will also address the process for internally promoting and reclassifying individuals.

    In this 2-hour course you will learn how to work in the People window to add a new contact; change views; use color categories to organize & search your contacts. We will also look at contact groups. The Tasks features of Outlook help you create lists of task-related items. We will look at the different views in the Task window; we will add tasks and assign tasks.

    The Performance Partnership Program (PPP), offered by Staff Human Resources, is a comprehensive performance management system that provides a process for resolving employee performance, attendance, and conduct problems by focusing on adult-to-adult relationships between supervisors and employees.

    his six-hour course covers Word 2016 topics such as working with tables of contents, bookmarks, footnotes; using Quick Parts (also known as building blocks) for boilerplate text and graphics; and additional graphic features. We will also learn how to create a basic Word form and create and use a macro.

    In this 2-hour workshop participants will learn how to use Photoshop to do basic photo correction, use selection tools, manipulate, save, and store images. No prior knowledge of Photoshop is required.

    This 6 hour course will prepare you to use the most common basic features of Adobe Photoshop CC.

    In this 6-hour course, attendees will begin by exploring the PowerPoint 2016 interface. Next we will create and save a presentation; view and navigate, and edit text on slides; add and modify graphical objects in a presentation; work with tables and charts; and prepare to deliver a presentation.

    Upon completion of this 6 hour course, attendees will be able to identify the components of the Access 2016 environment; work with data; and create a basic table, query, form and report.

    This seminar will address how to move a group from persistent dysfunction to constructive growth—moving from supervisory styles that support conflict (e.g., conflict-avoidant, control, and parenting) to supervision that facilitates growth by understanding the stages of group development and the advancement of problem-solving skills.
