The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. We assist faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction. In addition to the events listed below, we are always available for individual consultations or special activities within a department or college. Developing skills and knowledge that can be used to succeed at real-world tasks is a strong source of motivation for many students. Authentic assessments conceptually mimic these tasks and are a more valid means of measuring learning objectives compared to conventional means of assessment.Join us as we investigate using authentic assessment effectively in our courses.
