The entire University of Illinois family extends its deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victims, and to everyone on the Northern Illinois University campus affected by Thursday's tragic shootings.
We want to invite our campus and community to use this space to express feelings of grief, confusion, sorrow, and most of all our condolences for the people of NIU.
Another Web site has been established linking to resources available to University of Illinois faculty, staff, and students. Even as counselors from the U of I are enroute to DeKalb to assist the NIU staff, we urge everyone on the U of I campus to seek out needed counseling.
