Biography

  • Dr. Clark-Price received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with High Honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (Clinical Rotations Performed at Cornell University) in February of 2000. He completed a theriogenology internship at Cornell University in 2000. Following the completion of his internship, Dr. Clark-Price fulfilled an Equine Internal Medicine Residency at Kansas State University as well as a Master of Science degree in 2003. He then returned to Cornell University to complete an Anesthesiology Residency in 2005. Dr. Clark-Price then held a position of Associate Veterinarian in a large private referral hospital for one year prior to joining the faculty at The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Clark-Price completed his board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine in 2005 and in Anesthesiology in 2008.
  • Currently, Dr. Clark-Price serves as the Head of the Anesthesia and Pain Management service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as well as coordinator for the anesthesiology course in the veterinary professional curriculum.
  • Dr. Clark-Price also maintains an active research laboratory involving anesthesia and internal medicine in various species of animals.

Teaching Statement

I believe that education should be an enjoyable experience for the student and the instructor. Teaching methods that include newer technologies that can deliver information in unique ways should be utilized when possible to interact with students and enhance their learning.

Research Interests

Regulation of temperature in small animal patients during anesthesia, Development of methods to critically evaluate horses recovering from anesthesia and how it can be improved, Anesthesia and immobilization of tigers.
