Fraternity and Sorority Affairs  
GUARD:  A Consent and Sexual Assault Prevention Program for Fraternities and Sororities  
Please encourage your chapter members to participate in our program.  We believe this is a great proactive step your chapter can take to help address the issue of sexual assault on campus.

Date:  October 9th
Time:  10:00am-3:00pm.  
Location:  David Kenney Hall 

A limited number of spots are available for each chapter to send 1-2 members to participate in this important and transformative program. Those who are interested should sign up no later than Tuesday, October 4th at 11:59pm by filling out the following form: https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/9547676

University of Illinois Homecoming 5K
The annual Homecoming 5K is back and will take place at the Arboretum at the University of Illinois on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Florida Avenue. There is parking available in the lot near the Noel Welcome Garden, as well as the lot just north of the Japan House. There is metered parking up and down Lincoln Avenue which is free on Sundays. Open to all students, faculty, staff and community members. This fun run is a 5 Kilometer, or 3.1 mile race, which is equivalent to 2 laps around around the Arboretum course.

Price: $20.00 for an individual; $60 for a team of 4. (Cost includes an Illini dri-fit race shirt)

Greeks Support Homecoming BBQ 
The Greeks Support Homecoming BBQ is a fun event to get people in the Homecoming Spirit! There is free food, t-shirts giveaways, a D.J., and a photo booth where you can capture memories for years to come. The main entertainment of the night is getting to see some of our own BGC and UGC members perform steps and strolls! You don’t want to miss the fun! Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders Conference provides the distinct opportunity to network with fellow leaders at the University of Illinois in the Fraternity and Sorority communities and develop leadership skills. The Emerging Leaders Conference is held by Panhellenic Council and the Interfraternity Council and sponsored by the Leadership Department. This program is one of the only leadership programs exclusively offered to Fraternity & Sorority members, which allows for discussion on topics specific to the Greek community. This program focuses on becoming aware of self, others, goals, and impact in terms of building leadership skills. This program will provide future leaders in your chapters the opportunity to learn from a team of their peers who held positions in the Greek community.

i-Program:  Integrity
Date: October 22, 2016
Time: 10:00am-4:00pm  
A leader leads by example.  In times of conflict, a team usually looks to the leader for guidance. In order to lead, a leader should first be confident in his or her own beliefs, values, morals and ethics. This workshop defines integrity as well as other key ethical terms and concepts related to integrity. It helps leaders identify their personal values and their impact/influence on decision-making in ethical situations. It also empowers them to analyze ethical situations and determine a course of action.

Are You Passionate About Diversity and Inclusion? Will you like to help make change on your campus? Become an I-Connect Facilitator!!! Diversity and Social Justice Education is looking for undergraduate students to facilitate I-Connect Diversity and Inclusion Workshops starting in Spring 2017.

The I-Connect Diversity and Inclusion Workshop is an initiative of the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations, and the Division of Student Affairs. Students of color, LGBTQ students and allies, international students, and students with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply. Students of diverse backgrounds will be able to use their to use their positionality and their unique perspectives to guide new students to look understand and accept diversity and inclusion not only on the University of Illinois campus, but in their personal and professional lives as well. Experience facilitating difficult conversations is a must! The position is paid, and interviews will be held in early-October.

Adult Services: Computer Cleaning Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to assist with cleaning tasks for library public computers and keyboards so that they remain in good condition for public use. Preferred schedule options would include Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 10:30 am and Sunday, 11 am to 1 pm.
An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email volunteer@champaign.org or call 217/403-2070 to schedule an interview.
