New Social Media Manager for farmdoc

October 17, 2016

We are very pleased to announce that, starting today, Keith Good will be joining the farmdoc team as our first Social Media Manager.  A major part of his responsibilities will be to disseminate tweets from his existing Farm Policy Twitter account that feature farmdoc Daily articles, as well as other tools, data and research from the farmdoc team. He will also offer tweets on other relevant news articles, government reports, and research analysis related to Corn Belt farm economics.  FarmPolicy sites on Facebook and Instagram are now also available and will feature much of the material Keith will be tweeting on from the FarmPolicy Twitter account.

Keith is well known in agricultural circles for the daily FarmPolicy.com News Summary, which for 12 years (2003-2015) provided a succinct recap of U.S. agricultural policy developments and current issues impacting the agricultural economy. FarmPolicy.com enjoyed a diverse reading audience of approximately 5,000 daily readers from around the country including Congressional and USDA staff, university professionals, journalists, and farmers.  We are excited that Keith will continue this activity at a new FarmPolicy blog site that is currently under construction and will be available in the coming weeks.  He will be posting occasional summaries of recent news articles, government reports, current research, and Farm Bill developments tailored to Corn Belt farmers and stakeholders with an interest in the current issues impacting the agricultural economy.  Subscribers to daily FarmPolicy.com email updates have been added to the farmdoc email subscription list and will receive farmdoc daily email updates, as well as future email updates for the new FarmPolicy blog site.

Keith has worked in both the Arkansas and Illinois field offices of USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, as well as the Illinois Agricultural Mediation Program. He also has experience as an Investigator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and Washington, D.C. – he graduated from Southern Illinois University (B.A., Economics; J.D.) and Purdue University (M.S., Agricultural Economics).
