Message from Fraternity & Sorority Affairs regarding “Unofficial St. Patrick’s Day”
Unofficial St. Patrick’s Day is not an event that is sanctioned or sponsored by the university. It has, however, become a risky and unsafe day on campus. As a result, Fraternity & Sorority Affairs expects responsible behavior from all fraternity and sorority members and chapters during Unofficial St. Patrick’s Day. Chapters are not allowed to have events on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Please take the necessary precautions to ensure the responsible behavior and safety of your members.
Fraternity & Sorority Affairs is proud to team up with the Illinois Leadership Center to facilitate the Imprint I-Program on Saturday, March 11th, 2017.
The Fraternity & Sorority specific edition to Imprint provides the unique opportunity to network with Illinois Greek alumni and develop leadership skills. This program will be offered exclusively to Fraternity & Sorority members and will allow the chance to discuss leadership topics specific to the Greek community.
Imprint is one of five I-Programs offered through the university; this program focuses on teaching the art of transitional leadership– how to manage personal and professional transitions, how to lead in new environments, how to create a personal brand and build a network. This program will provide a unique opportunity to learn from a team of experienced Illinois alumni who are attending this event as Alumni Coaches.

Certified Housing Spring Semester Meeting
(This meeting is mandatory for all chapters with a certified house)

Location: SDRP Room 2025-AB
This workshop is intended for the undergraduate Chapter President or House Manager. If one of these officers cannot attend, please send an undergraduate substitute to take notes and communicate the workshop discussions with the appropriate officers. It is an expectation from Certified Housing and Fraternity & Sorority Affairs that all chapters with a certified housing unit attend this meeting. IFC chapters with houses: It is an expectation in the IGI that one member attends this meeting

Illini Spirit Award
The Moms Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is soliciting requests for funding proposals to be awarded in the spring of 2017 for their Illini Spirit Award. The Moms Association is looking for proposals that promote the growth and development of the students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The recipient will receive a monetary donation of $2,000 to be used to support the event and/or program submitted in the proposal. Proposals should include the following:
- Name of the project, program, event or organization nominated to receive the award.
- Description of the project, program, event or organization and how it promotes the growth and development of the students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- Budget proposal that includes funding from all sources and unmet financial need - please compile in listed format rather than narrative format.
- Proposals and supporting materials are due by March 12, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. Applications are to be submitted on-line at https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/7555756

Moms Association Scholarship
The Moms Association at the University of Illinois will award a merit scholarships in the amount of $1,000. To be eligible, the student must be an enrolled full time student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have successfully completed at least 24 college credit hours.
Scholarships are awards based on Campus involvement, Campus Honors and Awards, and their Potential to positively impact the University of Illinois. This award is determined on a competitive basis and requires the submission of an application form, an essay, and a letter of recommendation from someone at the University of Illinois, and transcript (s)

Around the World in 8 Aisles: Explore Your Health!
McKinley Health Center’s Special Populations’ Student Health Concerns Committee is hosting its 24th Annual Health Fair on Wednesday, April 12th from 10am-3pm in the Illini Union Rooms A, B, and C. The main goal of the event is to promote general wellness among diverse populations on the university campus and the Champaign-Urbana community. The Annual Health Fair has attracted over 80 vendors—including local health/social agencies, like Carle, Presence, Christie Clinic, and Planned Parenthood, as well as dentists and massage and physical therapists. Services and information are provided FREE of charge for all attendees. So come and enjoy a variety of health programs, displays, and demonstrations, ranging from fitness demos and cholesterol screening to dance performances and raffle prizes!
Join service projects on Saturdays during the academic year to give back to the Champaign-Urbana community. Volunteer opportunities provided through Service Saturdays are easy-access and typically one-time projects. The projects are organized by either OVP, campus groups, or community agencies. Volunteers Needed for 2017 Roger Ebert's Film Festival - April 19-23
We need volunteers to work at the Virginia Theatre Festival (April 19 - 23, 2017). Multiple volunteers are needed for each film and can sign up for only the shifts (concessions, ushers, merchandise sale, ticket takers, will call, check-in, etc) that fit your schedule. The film schedule will be released approximately a month before the festival. We will have a mandatory on-campus training session the afternoon of Sunday, April 2 (exact time and location will be communicated closer to date). Upon completion of the training session you can sign up for shifts. Thomas Paine Carnival
Thomas Paine Elementary PTA organizes an annual Carnival night. The proceeds from this event is utilized for services that assist students and teachers, as well as enriching the school.
