Summer Registration Deadlines

It is important to remember that there are many different summer deadlines (cancellation, withdrawal, credit/no credit, add/drop classes, etc.) because students may attend different sessions of the summer term. If you are considering making changes to your summer registration, please check the registration deadlines for the parts of term in which you are registered.

Start your day the "write" way! Join us for sustained writing in the company of your colleagues from across the disciplines. Each session will begin with a short conversation about goals and end with a wrap-up of accomplishments.

Writers Workshop Friday Write-a-Thon

Friday, June 16, 9 - 4 p.m., 251 Undergraduate Library 

Want to meet your writing goals in a distraction-free setting? Join your colleagues from across the disciplines to re-energize your writing practices at The Writers Workshop's Friday Write-A-Thons. Stay for as long as you'd like or join us later in the day to work on your thesis, dissertation, article, manuscript, seminar paper, etc.

We will provide coffee and light snacks; lunch is on your own. The summer dates for this event are: 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/28, 8/4.

Writing Effective Fellowship Proposals in STEM

Summertime = grantwritinting time! The Graduate College offers grant-writing workshops for graduate students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, & math). Dr. Karen Ruhleder, Assistant Director of External Fellowships, will outline how and where to search for funding, and will cover the fundamentals of the art of proposal writing from articulating a vision to structuring the research plan.

Thesis Tip
 
Submit the Title Page of your Thesis for Review by June 30

Correctly formatting the title page of your thesis can be a challenge. Let us help!

If you plan to graduate in August, submit your title page to the Thesis Office for review by June 30. We will check the formatting and your degree information to make sure that you are on track!

Just send a copy of your title page saved as a pdf or word file to: thesis@illinois.edu. Make sure to include your name and UIN in the message. Note: The title of your document does not have to be final before submission. To learn more about the thesis process, check out the Thesis Office website.
