2017-2018 School Year OVP Staff Positions
OVP is hiring for the 2017-18 school year. To apply, please complete an application at the Illini Union Employment website. Summer OVP Staff Positions
Summer student employees will assist with office duties, work on fall semester programs, and answer questions about how students can get involved in service projects. Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate student for Fall 2017 classes. Graduate students in Educational Policy, Organization & Leadership (E.P.O.L.) are invited to apply to serve as the OVP Graduate Assistant for the 2017-2018 year. The University of Illinois will celebrate National Volunteer Week on April 23-29. OVP has highlighted volunteer opportunities around the Champaign-Urbana area to help engage students in their community to make a difference and participate in National Volunteer Week. OVP and Alpha Phi Omega (APO) invite you to attend the Spring into Service Event that takes place during National Volunteer Week on Thursday, April 27 from 4- 6 p.m. in the Illini Union Courtyard Cafe. Earn national recognition for the good you do! Applying is easy - share a few details and a photo from your service activities this school year to show the difference you're making for the causes you care about. Awards are attainment-based with the first level requiring a minimum of 20 hours of service from at least 4 activities w/ 1 photo each. Louisville Weekend Service Trip
Thirteen participants volunteered in Louisville, KY, with the Boys and Girls Haven and Americana Community Center, completing landscaping and painting projects. They also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. Check out pictures from the trip at the Facebook album.

Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief Inc. that provides funds to charities committed to helping end child poverty. All profits from the purchase of a Red Nose or other Red Nose Day merchandise are donated to the Red Nose Day Fund, as well as 100% of any cash donations.
