Summer Registration Deadlines

It is important to remember that there are many different summer deadlines (cancellation, withdrawal, credit/no credit, add/drop classes, etc.) because students may attend different sessions of the summer term. If you are considering making changes to your summer registration, please check the registration deadlines for the parts of term in which you are registered.

Thesis Deposit Approaches - Are You Ready?

The thesis deposit period is quickly approaching. Make sure you are ready! The Thesis Office website has a number of tools designed to help you put the final touches on your document and stay on track for deposit.

  • Download our Deposit Checklist, which lists the requirements and supporting documents you need to complete your thesis deposit.
  • Make sure to check out the Graduate College formatting requirements page to see sample thesis pages.

Download a title page template and submit your title page to the Thesis Office for review. Email your title page to thesis@illinois.edu and be sure to include your UIN in the message. The deadline to submit your title page for Thesis Office review is June 30.

  • Doctoral students – Don’t forget to take your surveys, which are required for your deposit. You can learn more about them here.
  • Review your release options, which determine the visibility of your document in the University’s repository, IDEALS.

Bevier Café Is Open for Summer Semester

Bevier Café is open for lunch service for the summer term. Lunch will be served from Tuesday - Friday until Aug. 2. Additionally, self-service is available from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The cafe is located on the second floor of Bevier Hall, 905 S. Goodwin Avenue.

 
2017 Summer Construction Project Map and Summaries

Substantial completion of the Natural History Building and major renovations to Everitt Laboratory, the Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building, Noyes Laboratory and the Armory highlight the more than 50 capital projects transforming educational and research spaces on campus this summer. Where Are They Now? Michael Santana

Where can a graduate degree from the University of Illinois take you? In this monthly series, we catch up with one recent Graduate College alum and ask the question: "Where are they now?".

Michael Santana was the recipient of a Ford Predoctoral Fellowship from 2013 - 2016. Michael graduated from Illinois in 2016 with a PhD in Mathematics. Now, he is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Mathematics at Grand Valley State University, which is located in Allendale, MI. In this capacity, he is a teacher, mentor, and advisor to the students at the university and an active member of his department, college, university, and the mathematics community.
