Community Volunteer Opportunities
Internships, Scholarships, and Beyond
Our externship activity was started by UCI School of Medicine Professor Robert Detrano as a way to expose pre-health students to the current state of healthcare in both rural and urban parts of China. In exchange for a tax-deductible donation, students will have the opportunity to shadow both US and International cardiologists in our travelling clinic, as well as attend educational lectures in the evening given by doctors and university professors regarding topics such as: hypertension, congenital heart disease, and public health. For more info, check this website or go to our FaceBook page. If interested, please return a completed version of the attached application and waiver to Daniel@chinacal.org no later than October 24th.
On this 6 day trip, we will experience the culture of Pluma Hidalgo, volunteer with students and community members in the region, and help with physical housing projects after the recent earthquake. The cost of this trip includes housing and accommodations. Apply or check for more info here!
