IEL Resources Support High-Quality Preschools

A recent research review describes how the curriculum and intentional teaching positively impact preschool quality and children’s positive outcomes. The IEL Project provides many resources to support teachers and caregivers in providing a high-quality preschool experience. Our resources include Tip Sheets focused on specific curricular areas: language arts, math, science, the arts, social studies, and physical development and health. IEL also has designed sample Adapted Lesson Plans aligned to the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards (IELDS). The lesson plans show how preschool teachers can intentionally support all children to participate in their preschool curriculum.

Celebrating the Holidays with Young Children

Our Tip Sheet Making the Holidays Memorable and Meaningful provides suggestions to help families with young children keep the focus on simple experiences and acts of kindness during the winter holidays. Keeping young children mindful about giving to others and making time for simple low-cost celebrations can create wonderful family memories.

IEL Project Is Updating Its Questions and Answers (Q&A)

As part of our website redesign, the IEL Project staff have been updating several of our Questions and Answers (Q&A) resources. Be sure to check out these topics and share them with friends and colleagues.
