42nd ANNUAL WINDY CITY INVITATIONAL

Dear Alumni and Friends of UIC Men's Gymnastics,

First and foremost, greetings on a happy new year!  I hope 2012 is off to a successful start.  Next weekend is going to be a busy one for UIC Gymnastics and I hope you'll have the chance to join the team, alumni, and friends in kicking off the 2012 season.  There is so much happening that you could spend the entire weekend on UIC related activities.  I hope you have a chance to walk around campus (if the weather cooperates).  Chances are, if you haven't seen it in a while, you may not recognize it!

Saturday night UIC will host the 42nd Annual Windy City Invitational.  I take a lot of pride in the fact that such a young school hosts the NCAA's oldest and largest regular season competition.  Meet time is 7:30 and the admission price is $12.

BUT...In an effort to give the best experience to our most loyal supporters we have been able bring back the Alumni and Friends reception area.  The cost (with RSVP) is $20 and includes admission to the Windy City, an exclusive viewing area, pizza, and drinks (pop, water, beer, and wine).  The doors to the Alumni and Friends area will open at 7:00.  I expect this area to sell out, so please RSVP by replying to this message.  If space permits you can buy your ticket at the door, but the cost will be $25.

If you're looking for something to fill your time before the Windy City on Saturday night you might want to check out UIC basketball at the Pavilion at 3:00.  The Flames will host city rival Loyola, and special rates are available by contacting Jaime Morales at: jmorale@uic.edu (312-413-UIC1)
