INTERNATIONAL DINNER NIGHT

What: The 32nd Annual International Dinner & Performance Night
WhenSunday, March 8, 2015, 6pm to 8pm
Where: University YMCA1001 S. Wright Street, Champaign (On the corner of Wright and Chalmers)

For over three decades, families, students, and faculty have gathered at the University YMCA for the International Dinner & Performance Night. Each year, the YMCA and International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) host an evening of great food and live performances in celebration of the diverse cultures that make up Champaign-Urbana.

Tickets are only $15 and include all food for the evening, including dishes such as: Chotpoti, Sweet Yogurt, Passion Fruit Mousse, Brigadeiro, Fried tangyuan, xishi tofu, biryani, bunuelos, chicken siomai, and pierogi.  Tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright Street, Champaign (checks payable to the University YMCA). Tickets sell out early and seats are limited; plan to purchase tickets as soon as possible.

Answers are based on the 2014 CORE Alcohol and Drug Survey, which about 1200 Illinois students participate in annually. SPRING BREAK HOUSING
Looking for a place to live during Spring Break?

If you are in town and looking for housing options for Spring Break, there are options available at some of our Private Certified Housing facilities.  Illini Tower offers Spring Break housing for all students, for $175 for the entire break.   Email Bianca at Illini Tower for more information. 
Newman Hall offers Break housing to their International residents, while Presby Hall, Armory House, and Hendrick House provide contract options with their current residents for Spring Break as well.

 
 
SAFE WALKS Launching APP

SafeWalks is launching its own App in the month of March!  Look in the Android and Apple App Stores in the next few weeks to download this FREE app.  Equipped with GPS location and an easy interactive menu, finding a safe way to walk home has never been easier.  

SafeWalks operating hours are:
9 p.m.* to 2:30 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday, calls taken until 2:15 a.m.
9 p.m.* to 3 a.m., Thursday, Friday or Saturday, calls taken until 2:45 a.m.
*Early SafeWalks take place between the months of October and March, beginning at 7 p.m.

Remember, you can always reach SafeWalks by callling 217-333-1216, or press an emergency phone button and wait for the dispatcher.

 
 
PCH SPRING COMMUNITY EVENT- April 11th

Mark your calendars for APRIL 11th The PCH Community is coming together to take part in the National Day of Service.  We will work together for a great cause, and join The Food Packaging Project, helping to package 148,000 meals - one thousand for every year of public engagement since the University was chartered - for local foodbanks to be distributed to needy families in Champaign-Urbana, on April 11th at Memorial Stadium.

After helping give back, we will head over to Newman Hall for a PCH barbeque to have some fun, enjoy great food, and maybe meet some new friends in PCH!  Check our upcoming April newsletter, and find us on facebook for more information.
