Illinois? public engagement identity has evolved over 140 years in an environment of land-grant institutional initiatives spread across many colleges and units. Through the persistent efforts of the faculty, staff and students within the 74 academic departments within 11 colleges, eight schools and more than 150 centers and institutes significant contributions are made to the public engagement mission of the campus.
