Here & Now: Submit a file
Share your Illinois Story by emailing a photo or video to email@example.com. We'll select at least five photos a week to appear in the slide show and feature the best video. Anyone may submit a file as long as it's relevant to the campus.
What to Send
Include your name, phone number, and a description of what's happening, including who, what, when, where, how, and why.
Photos must be less than 5 MB; shorter videos are preferred. Submit video files with the following file extensions: .mp4, .m4v, .mov or .wmv. Those submitting video are strongly encouraged to include a transcript as a text-only file (.txt) with their submission so the content can be made universally accessible. Only one submission a week, please, of good, clean fun only; while creative, offbeat, and inventive images are welcome here, if you wouldn't share them with your family at a holiday dinner, you probably shouldn't submit them.
Each submitter grants the University a non-exclusive license to use, publish, display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted images and video, in whole or in part. All rights to the original work are retained by the copyright holder. Captions may be rewritten.
By submitting the file, you agree that you're responsible for securing all necessary permissions, that you have obtained them, and that the University can remove the image or video in its sole discretion at any time.
For Faculty and Staff
Every person submitting photos or videos should consider what permissions and signed releases need to be obtained. Faculty and staff members, acting in an official capacity and as an agent of the University of Illinois, should be especially mindful of those requirements. Guidelines with links to campus model, talent, and location release forms and downloads are on this Web page.
Those with questions or concerns should send an email to to the campus Webmaster.
